I've Lost My Head

I assume you know the song “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.”

Well, it appears I left my head in San Antonio.

Or, more correctly, Annie left my head in San Antonio. (Although I don't blame her, seeing as I can barely keep track of my head most days, and it's attached to my neck.)

But it looks like I had a fun time before I was sucked into the vortex known as the Alamodome.

Look! It's me (and Teyla, naturally; I'm a nursing mama, so we're almost always attached) with Lisa The Preacher's Wife and Missy @ It's Almost Naptime, my fellow conspirator, evil twin-in-spirit and official head transporter.

Oh! And hey, look! I had Mexican with Sophie and Melanie.

And I got to meet Cindy @ Still His Girl.

Somehow, I even managed to end up about four feet from Beth Moore's shoe. ("Security! SECURITY!")

You better believe these shots are going in Teyla's baby book.

I'm pretty sure I have the coolest and funnest Internet friends in the whole stinkin' world.

Seriously.

It's midnight, and I'm still laughing.

What do you say I get really crazy and send my whole body next year?!?

  1. I LOVE IT! That is the craziest thing- and I just went over to Missy's blog and read her blog about the conference- and she is hilarious... I guess I am adding another blog to my google reader! :) I may just get crazy and start a blog myself one of these days... Have fun with Mom and Dad! Don't have too much fun at the State Fair without us- I'm still depressed about that- and still have a deep fried Snickers size hole in my heart...

  6. Only Kelly could travel the internet and meet friends around the country. You are a true sanguine, we miss you here in sunny SD. I would have died laughing if I saw your head being transported around.

  9. I still stand by that I never remember Missy asking me to watch your head. But I'm real sorry about that whole situation. I apparently am less responsible than I realized. :) But you were fun while you lasted.

  11. I'm just wondering if I can talk someone in to taking my head to Las Vegas?

There's talk of a meet up in Memphis next year. Start making plans now for 2009! And let's hope your head is firmly attached when I get a chance to meet you for real cause there is a possibility I may squeeze it right off your sweet neck. :))

    Love you!!

    Lisa

  16. I just started blogging last month and am in love with it, and just now decided to add you to my blogroll, and just wanted to tell you. Why? Because I think you're funny, I like your writing style, and I think we could be friends. I've even quoted something you wrote to my husband because it was so funny. (It was about the baby eating "solid food;"an otter pop! And then you said you'd give her the car keys and tell her not to eat too many street tacos in mexico...and then you said something like "I kid, I kid, you can never have too many street tacos." And I was laughing outloud.
So thank you for entertaining me unknowingly for months.
Oh, and I also have a little "Natalie" of my own! :-)

  17. I'm thinking next time, if your real life body doesn't make it to the conference that you need to see if your friends can lay your picture ON Beth Moore's shoe not just near it. She won't notice since she'll be smiling for the picture and you may recieve some of her annointing through her cute shoes. I think it is a solid plan. Your posts always make me laugh. :) Sue

  18. Luke just saw the picture of your head and his first comment was, "Did they cut off Teyla's head???"

  19. That is hilarious! Did you go see Beth Moore at the Target Center, or send a head to that one too?

I also have a Natalie, btw.
